"Slimewear" Collection

Design / Patternmaking / Garment Construction2025
Overview

Slimewear is a two-piece collection developed as a study in formal garment construction — a floor-length satin dress and a contrast-stitched dress shirt, both fully designed, patterned, and sewn by hand. Inspired by childhood nostalgia and Nickelodeon Slime Time, the collection plays with "slime" green as a through-line: saturated satin on the dress, forest green shirting with neon contrast stitching on the shirt.

  • Designed both silhouettes from concept through final garment
  • Drafted custom patterns for the satin dress and dress shirt
  • Selected and sourced fabrics — satin and woven shirting
  • Executed full garment construction including princess seams, invisible zipper, collar, placket, and cuffs
  • Applied contrast stitching as a deliberate design and construction detail
  • Fit and adjusted patterns on the dress form throughout development
